Dubai – Mubasher: Unikai Foods said a fire in its packaging warehouse in the west Dubai district of Al-Qouz on Saturday resulted in losses in packaging materials.

The fire will not affect the plant’s production, the company said in a bourse filing on Sunday.

The firm previously reported cutting its net losses by 96.6% in Q1-15 to AED 470,000, compared to a net loss of AED 13.76 million in Q1-14.

The company’s shareholders on 25 March approved the continuity of the firm and the division of the fair value of the stock from AED 100 to AED 1. Accumulated losses were compensated with the company’s reserves.

Unikai Foods’ capital amounts to AED 30.25 million.
